Die Struck Soft Enamel

This technique is the most common technique for lapel pins. Die struck soft enamel pins are made from a simple sheet of metal that is plated in the color of your choice.  A custom die is used to stamp the design into the metal. The result is a piece of metal with raised and recessed areas. The recessed areas are then color-filled. It is the polishing that creates the difference in the techniques, whereas hard enamel is polished smooth, in this technique, the metal lines trapping the color are raised and the enamel is recessed or lower than the metal lines around it.  This creates a look and feel of dimension.  Epoxy can be added to create a smooth finish at no additional charge. PMS color matching at no additional charge.
